I can't copy files from ESX to my Windows machine

I installed ESX Server and couldn’t copy files to my Windows machine. I went to Firewall and checked FTP Server. However, it still doesn’t work.

Answer: There is no FTP Server at ESX. It was removed because of security risks it implies. To copy files from ESX to your Windows machine and back, you can use Winscp or FastSCP. Winscp transfers all the data encrypted so if you need to copy sensitive data, using Winscp is more safe, though a bit slow. FastSCP doesn’t encrypt data but uses one-time passwords for each session, which allows it to be faster and no less secure.
