Sun and Intel Announce a Strategic Alliance

Sun announced that an agreement had been signed with Intel to sell Intel based servers. In its turn, Intel is going to use in production Solaris OS.
Sun has signed an agreement with Intel, while Intel is convinced Solaris is the “mission critical UNIX OS for Intel Xeon” servers. The Solaris OEM agreement allows Intel to distribute and support Solaris OS as market opportunities arise.
