Wyse Introduces New Thin Computing Kits

Date: January 30, 2007

Wyse Technology announced two new "Thin Computing Pilot in a Box" kits to quickly test the efficiency of thin computing solutions. Now Wyse has three kits - Pilot in a Box for Full-Function Streaming, Pilot in a Box for Shared and Terminal Services, and Pilot in a Box for Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (EDV). All the kits are paid.

The customer price of each kit is $9,995. Each kit provides thin computing hardware, software licenses and support. "Our pilot in a box kits take the guesswork out of deploying thin computing architectures and solutions," said Mike Brunner, director of worldwide channel sales and marketing for Wyse. "Our channel partners now have the tools they need to quickly demonstrate how thin computing works and can leverage the hottest architectures: desktop virtualization, OS and application streaming and shared/terminal services. These kits make it easy to build a business case on why thin computing makes sense without incurring too much risk."
