VMware and Parallels: Which is better?

Both Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion allow Macintosh users to run Windows applications without the need to reboot their computers. The author compares the products by estimating their configuration level, installation efforts, ease of use, etc.

As a result of comparison, Ryan concludes that both products are pretty good. However, he thinks Fusion lacks performance reliability. It should be noted that so far VMware Fusion is only available in beta, which makes the comparison a bit unfair, but still the article makes it evident that the product needs more work at some points.
