Fujitsu Siemens and Egenera extend OEM agreement

Egenera and Fujitsu Siemens extend BladeFrame OEM Agreement, Add R&D Component solidifying their relationship for 3 more years.

Egenera Inc. (www.egenera.com), Following a recent announcement that Egenera will make its PAN Manager software available on other vendors' hardware platforms, the company today formally announced Fujitsu Siemens as its first OEM partner.
According to Fujitsu Siemens it plans to interage Egenera's PAN Manager software with its PRIMERGY server line as one part of its FlexFrame Infrastructure unveiled today. The companies have also announced a three year extension and to their original 2005 partnership agreement under which Fujitsu Siemens sells Egenera products in EMEA. Added to the agreement is the R&D component to provide for integration of Egenera PAN Manager with Fujitsu Siemens ServerView Suite and the PRIMERGY BX600 blade server.

While the industry leader VMware virtualizes individual servers, Egenera is a global leader in delivering data center virtualization solutions that reduce costs and complexity.
