CA releases a new virtualization management solution
November 27, 2006 – CA Inc. announced the launch of a tool to manage a large number of existing virtual servers. Unicenter Advanced Systems Management r11.1 can now manage virtual systems by VMware Inc., Microsoft Corp., Red Hat Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co., and IBM, while the previous version only supported Microsoft and VMware virtualization products.
Server virtualization features in new OpenVZ
OpenVZ, a provider of virtual machines mini-networks, announced the release of a new product that is designed to migrate a virtual server image between virtual machines without the need to interrupt them. The product is based on 2.6.9. Linux kernel and can send the image of a VM environment to another VM while the original environment keeps working.
